All 6 B2S sessions are now released

Hey Reader,

In case you missed the announcement, all 6 sessions for the 2026 Back to School Conference are now released.

And I am excited about this lineup because it is not just a list of interesting OT topics.

It is a lineup built around the very questions that I receive in my email inbox every day from school-based OTPs just like you.

Questions like:

  • How do I support students through MTSS with my caseload of 72 kids?
  • What does sensory integration look like in schools?
  • How do I know when to recommend AT, and can AI be considered AT?
  • What does meaningful transition planning look like from an OT lens?
  • How do I connect my assessment findings to student access & participation?
  • And how do I make evaluations more neurodiversity-affirming?

If you haven't asked yourself at least two of those questions in the last month, are you even really an OTP? ... It's the end of the school year, so maybe you haven't.

In all seriousness, though, these are common questions among both new and experienced OT practitioners.

Heck, I still ask myself some of these questions!

That is why I am super pumped for this lineup of OTPs (with real school-based OT experience) that are presenting at the 2026 Back to School Conference.

Together, we'll learn from:

  • Dr. Moira P. Bushell
More Impact, Less Burnout: The Role of OT in MTSS
  • Dr. Colleen Cameron Whiting
It’s Possible! Ayres Sensory Integration in the Schools
  • Elisa Wern
Exploring Practical AI & AT Tools for Your School-Based OT Toolbox
  • Tammy Stephens and Dr. Hannah Hills
Empowering Students: How OT Supports Successful Secondary Transition Planning
  • Dr. Aimee Piller and Dr. Sultan Alfawaz
Aligning Sensory & Motor Assessment Outcomes With Common Core State Standards
  • Dr. Bryden Carlson-Giving
Inclusive From Day One: Strategies for Conducting Neurodiversity-Affirming Evaluations with Neurodivergent Students

This is the kind of professional development I want heading into a new school year: school-based, practical, evidence-informed, and tied to the real decisions we make with students and teams all. year. long.

Right now, you can register for the conference to access the live sessions, the recordings, and 12 hours worth of CEUs.

Or you can choose the Conference + Collab option to access the conference plus follow-up application calls, open Q&As with the OT Schoolhouse team and me, and additional practical resources to help you apply what you learn once the school year starts.

Use code SUMMER through July 5th to save on the conference

Hey Reader, I'm curious, which session are you most excited for at the Back to School Conference? Hit reply and let me know! Is it Dr. Moira Bushell on MTSS because you are trying to support more students without burning out? Is it Dr. Colleen Cameron Whiting on ASI because sensory integration remains one of the most difficult interventions to implement with fidelity in schools? Perhaps it's Elisa Wern's session on AI and AT because you want tools that help rather than distract? Or maybe it's...

Hey Reader, If you’ve been eying the B2S Conference but you’re still deciding between the conference-only and Conference + Collab options, here’s a helpful way to think about it. In school-based OT, the hardest part isn’t learning new ideas. It’s the years-long knowledge-to-translation gap Evidence-based strategies are everywhere, even on Instagram, but turning them into something that works inside your real caseload, your real campus, and your real OT team takes ongoing support. If you want...
